Meet the Lilburn Co-op Staff

Jackie Wells Smith

Executive Director, Jackie Wells Smith, was a Human Resources and Marketing consultant for 30 years before she retired to become the full-time caregiver to her late husband. After he died, Jackie discovered retirement wasn’t a good fit, so she took a part time job as Pantry Manager at the LCM eventually accepting the position of director. She has lived in Lilburn for 25 years, five minutes from the LCM. Jackie has volunteered with a variety of community service organizations working with Girl Scouts, a rape crisis organization, domestic violence shelter, soup kitchens, and with parents of children with spectrum disorders.

Dan Sharp

Dan Sharp, Director of Operations, has a BS in Biology from the University of Georgia. Dan has extensive laboratory experience in microbiology. The transition from biologist to LCM management started when Dan volunteered and got hooked on the messy, chaotic fun that is public service. Dan is an imaginative problem-solver and meticulous organizer. When not at the LCM Dan can be seen running around Lilburn—literally—he’s been a distance runner since college. He’s also one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet.

Nathan Ramirez

Nathan Ramirez, Store Manager and Volunteer Coordinator running the LCM Community Service program is also a combat veteran. He served two tours as a tech operator for T14 tanks in the 75th Rangers. Nathan is currently a reservist still serving our country. He brings a wide range of skills to the LCM having worked with Goodwill Industry thrift stores, the Geek Squad, and as private security. Underneath that tough exterior is the soul of a poet. Nathan writes poetry, songs, and short stories in his spare time.

Morgan Tyler Mancilla

The whirlwind that is Morgan Tyler Mancilla, Intake Coordinator, is the driving force behind our initiative to set up an intake program to better serve the client of the LCM. She also handles the administration of our Financial Aid and children’s programs. Morgan is a graduate of Point University with a BS in Program Administration, where she attended on a Volleyball and Softball Scholarship. Prior to LCM, Morgan worked for the Children’s Village at Christian City.

Patella Green

The infectious laughter you hear at Lily’s Cloak Thrift Store in the evening and on Saturday is from Store Associate, Patella Green. By day this charming Jamaican lady is an office manager for a medical supply company. Since 2018, she has been a ray of sunshine in the thrift store. Patella was a volunteer here prior to her employment with the LCM.

Luis Aguilar-Palacios

Luis Aguilar-Palacios volunteered for several months as the staff fell in love with this sweet, gentle bear of a man. Luis is our part time Translator on service days assisting with paperwork, client vetting and phone calls. Luis also works for Ingles. When he’s not working, he likes hanging with his family, playing video games with his niece, and chillin’ with his ride or die, Kitty, his cat.

Gregory Hudson

Part time Driver, Gregory Hudson, picks up our donations from all over the Atlanta Metro area. Prior to the LCM, Gregory worked as primary driver for a painting company for many years, picking up materials and delivering to job sites. Currently, Gregory has his own painting business that he works in the afternoon. He also works for FedEx at night. Gregory’s personal motto is, “I’m not turning down work.” Gregory’s got hustle.

Carton Belk

Carton Belk came to work for the LCM three years ago when he got bored with retirement. Mr. Carlton was a big rig trucker prior to retirement. Now, he is our part time Receiving Coordinator at the LCM. He also organizes the volunteer car loaders and keeps our carts rolling on service days.
